No Thirst Software Releases Debt Quencher 1.1

THE WOODLANDS, Texas—December 5, 2006—No Thirst Software has released an update to Debt Quencher. Version 1.1 adds user-requested features that give consumers more methods to quickly reduce credit card debt.

Adding more money to your monthly payment is easier now with the one-step additional payment feature. It’s no longer necessary to decide where to apply your extra cash. Enter one amount in either the additional payment or total planned payment spots and let Debt Quencher calculate the best spot for your money.

Debt Quencher is a great place to store your credit card balances and calculate payment plans, but you may want to use that wealth of data in a worksheet for more number crunching. Now you can do it easily with copy and paste. Select what you want to export from the accounts, methods or payments lists, then copy and paste it to Excel or any other software that accepts tab-delimited numbers.

The Best Method indicator used to be based solely on the most savings, but sometimes just saving money isn't enough. For many of us trying to pay off our debt, the motivation to continue is as important as the cash flow needed to make the payments. It can be very encouraging to pay off one of your credit cards early, so now the best calculations will pick the method with the fewest payments if the totals are within one percent of each other.

Other improvements have been included to make using Debt Quencher even more enjoyable. The accounts list, for example, now sorts automatically based on your selected payment method. The return key now turns on and off the edit mode and keeps you on the same value so you can play “what if” scenarios easier. Previously you only saw a summary of what was going to happen prior to making payments. Now you’re presented with all the payment detail so you can see exactly what is going to get paid before hitting the confirmation button.

The best news is that Debt Quencher is a hit with its users. Comments like, "Well, I just purchased Debt Quencher, and in the 27 minutes I've used it, I have completely revised my financial planning for the next 32 months, and will be able to live a debt free life, something I simply didn't think was possible”; “While you program doesn't remove the debt, it really makes paying it down a joy”; and "Thanks for great, simple, affordable software" continue to appear in the No Thirst Software feedback inbox.

As promised, the NoThirst.com website now contains The Optimist Plays the Jester, the first of many companion articles on debt management and improving personal cash flow. Company founder of No Thirst Software, Kevin Hoctor commented, “I’m extremely happy with the customer response to Debt Quencher. Everyone has been so generous with their feedback and compliments, which gave me what I needed to deliver this new release so quickly.”
